IMASTE has been selected among 10 high tech Spanish startups to travel to Silicon Valley, California, in order to enhance the cooperation of Spanish and American tech companies.

ICEX and Fundación Banesto will sponsor the trip, which will take place from Dec 6th to Dec 11th, with the main objective of enabling successful partnerships with technological companies based in the Bay Area.

During the trip, the participating companies will be able to meet VC representatives, possible partners, prospective clients, and also visit Google, Yahoo and other hot spots in the Valley.

We feel very proud of having been selected among all the tech companies participating in the PIPE ICEX program, and will use the opportunity to present in the States the new version of our virtual fair platform.

Our virtual events, 3D online environments and online trade-shows connect, inform and engage visitors and exhibitors.  Following the Clean tech and “greener is better” wave that the Valley is experiencing, we hope we may convince them that our customised solutions reduce travel costs and are environmentally friendly, while our customers are able to generate leads, networking, increase online sales chances and communicate projects or services globally.

We will also gather feedback on our an ambitious international expansion plan, with scheduled projects in 2010 in UK, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Croatia and US.

In order to prepare properly for our trip, all the selected companies have been assessed by StepOne Ventures, company founded by Bernardo Hernandez, which assists innovative, high-growth-stage technology companies expand their operations into the US market.
